Must admit I wouldn't fancy it grated into a salad!! :o)Lady Ellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17050899813793376037noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693648106391390274.post-11915056837216122592016-07-25T23:18:22.173+01:002016-07-25T23:18:22.173+01:00I haven't had fresh peas in ages, but fresh ca...I haven't had fresh peas in ages, but fresh carrots are a favorite! And yes, I agree - freshly picked carrots have a completely different flavour.Eileen Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06340398156618870705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693648106391390274.post-81037669638704305212016-07-25T09:41:26.815+01:002016-07-25T09:41:26.815+01:00Sounds like something to add to your garden next y...Sounds like something to add to your garden next year Ella, a row of carrots! The reality is that all root vegetables are stored for a long time. They will mainly be harvested in the Autumn / early winter and then stored. Our potatoes are stored over the winter but are mainly gone by April/May. I have only seen Italian new carrots in the shops so far although I have stopped looking now we have them in the garden. I would still buy old carrots over frozen myself. One way or other it will help us see in the dark!Maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06013731736768963395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693648106391390274.post-6900825549469426892016-07-25T09:13:05.663+01:002016-07-25T09:13:05.663+01:00I always eat peas from the pod raw as I pod them a...I always eat peas from the pod raw as I pod them as they taste so good. I have stopped watching/listening to the news, it creates such anxiety.Patio Postcardshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04491809927236242223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5693648106391390274.post-43275776207150000772016-07-25T00:40:26.949+01:002016-07-25T00:40:26.949+01:00What a fantastic gift - and handmade! Must admit I'm shocked to think those I buy may have been hanging round for many months. I'd be better off with frozen! <br />Good for your girl, making that thoughtful offering. We were talking about all these many attacks this evening - the number and frequency is breathtaking. I don't know how or when it might stop.Lady Ellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17050899813793376037noreply@blogger.com
