Mode of Transport

Many of you will know that we sell some of our potatoes and eggs straight from the farm as well as various animal feed. We are used to customers arriving in different ways. The most traditional way maybe by car, van or lorry but we also have walkers and cyclists. Perhaps the most unusual was a man who used his lawnmower!
However on a hot sunny bank holiday what better to travel when purchasing sheep feed than by horse and cart. This local farrier is often seen out on the lanes with his children.

  1. I went to school with a girl who, every day during the summer, travelled to school by pony and cart. The pony stayed on the school field during the day in a fenced off area that was supposedly away from all the kids, but it wasn’t really. I can’t see that happening now with all the worries about health and safety.

  2. That horse's colouring is amazing & the cart is quite different than anything I've seen. As we live in Mennonite & Amish country we see horse & buggy modes of transport quite often.

  3. That would be SO unusual where we live, everyone would probably pull over to watch!
