Family Favourite

Today we had a family lunch and so I made a favourite family pudding. Chocolate Swirl Slice.

This is a fiddly pudding and quite messy but worth the result as long as you are not watching your weight! Have a go I am sure you will enjoy it!
You will need an approx 10 in flan dish
The Crust
8oz Digestive Biscuits crushed
4oz Butter melted
1 tablespoon drinking chocolate.
Mix together the above ingredients and press into the dish that you have lightly greased with a small amount of the melted butter.

The Filling
4 fl oz water
3 teaspoons gelatine
8oz caster sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
8oz cream cheese
141/2 oz tin evaporated milk
1oz cocoa

Reserve half a cup of the evaporated milk and place the rest in a cake pan and pop in the freezer to freeze until icicles form.
Soften the gelatine in the water and dissolve in a bowl over hot water. Stir in half a cup of sugar and the half cup of evaporated milk. Cool.
Beat together the cream cheese, remaining sugar and the vanilla.
Blend the gelatine mixture into the cream cheese.
Whip the frozen milk until soft peaks occur. Fold the milk into the mixture.
Place 1/3 mixture into a separate bowl and blend the cocoa into this.
Spoon alternate spoons of mixture into the flan dish.
Take a skewer and gently swirl.
Refrigerate over night.
Enjoy!
