Quiet Day

Today was a "quiet"day catching up on jobs around the house. I had a couple of cakes to make and was half way through this when I had a call to come straight away to help move sheep! This time a planned move but apparently extra staff were needed at short notice!

The ewes and lambs were all gathered together for a routine check over. This involves separating the lambs from their sheep for a short while. This creates considerable noise as they call to each other. They are now in the field by the house and there was a period of commotion while groups of lambs bleated looking for their mums and the ewes replied with equal force! Margot the pony was totally unphased by all the activity and kept her head down eating.

All will be reunited by now so hopefully it won't be too noisy overnight.
