A 17th Century Framed View

Yesterday we visited Godolphin House which now belongs to the National Trust. It has 15th Century origins but is mainly 17th Century. It has been extensively renovated by the Trust and it is now run as a holiday let.

Most of our visit this time was to the gardens but spent sometime viewing the central colonnade. An opportunity not to be busy for a two way framed view through the main doors. A Framed View is No. 3 on the Summertime Photography Scavenger List.
Firstly from the front.

Then looking back the other way. Through one door.

Then through two.

There was another framed view looking into the garden.

Everywhere you look is scenic. These are but a few of the pictures I took.
The old barns.

Foxgloves against the garden wall.

An old mounting block.

  1. Well done! I knew you'd fine the best framed view - I like the 3rd one best.

  2. I knew you would excel with the framed view - spectacular views. I know of Godolphin because of the horse history - the Godolphin Barb.
