Look who has Arrived

You may recall that the swallows have built a new nest in the stable. I have stayed away with my camera for the past two weeks having shown the parents making and sitting on the nest. So what's in the nest now?

Mum and dad are now busy rushing back and forth with food.

I could see two little beaks in the nest and it is tricky to see if there are more.

So perhaps I have a good photo for No. 17 Twins in the Summertime Photography Scavenger Hunt or even Alternative 2 A Baby.

  2. I would definitely want to count that one for twins if I had taken it! I think that's one of the more challenging prompts

  3. That would be the photo for twins, if it were me. Like Sian, I expect that to be one of the hardest this year! Great shot!

  4. TWINS! (Just hope you don't discover that in fact they are triplets or quadsquins...)

  7. Lovely. Wonderful close up work of the youngests Maggie - surprising you did not get pecked at. I am just discovering all kinds of things about our swallow situation in Ontario. Swallows are now a protected bird & have been declining in numbers. Rules are now if you have a barn that has a colony of swallows you have to build them a new "roost" ... I will have more to tell soon on my blog.
