Snap: Very Berry

Today I am joining Helena in her weekly Snap. When on my normal dog walk one piece of hedgerow was abundant with red berries.

Plenty to keep the birds going.

  2. lovely. the top one would make a nice card - love how the sun is falling on the bough. I wonder if this means a harsh winter ... it's funny how some trees have done so well for fruit this year and others have produced nothing at all.

    1. They do say it means a harsh winter. Most things here have fruited pretty well apart from my greengage which seems to have forgotten how and my Victoria that has sadly died.

  3. Beautiful, I always thought that such a bountiful crop of berries meant a hard winter to follow. Does it! or is that like not eating blackberries after the first of October?

  6. Oh these are lovely - make a nice set of Christmas cards. I've been enjoying the rose hips in my hedges too. No holly berries as yet.

  7. What a gorgeous color! The closest thing I have to that are on our holly bush, but nothing as lush as these.
