Little Lamb Antics

It has been a busy week with lambing now well under way. There is never a dull moment with lambs about. We have had quite a few triplets. These can be a little smaller and occasionally struggle to get going. This was the case the other day when one of a trio was cold, shivery and a little slow to get going. That is how it ended up in my kitchen by the radiator.

This is the kind of occasion when an Aga or Rayburn comes in handy. He didn't need to stay in long. When I returned to the kitchen after my shower he was running around and bleating loudly. He settled after a bit of milk and in a bigger box and was soon returned to his mum leaving a trail of hay behind him.

You will all be pleased to know that he was thriving well back with his mum!

It's great watching them up in the shed. These two found themselves a nice woolly trampoline/ bed.

Once the weather improved some of the ewes and lambs were allowed outside.

A first taste of grass.

Plus a chance to investigate the world around them.

Or just a chance to take it all in.

The main thing to learn is to stay close to mum!
