Trip to the Sea

We managed to snatch a day out and headed off to Devon. A journey that should have taken about 3 hours at the very most took 6 due to serious hold ups on the motorway.
We eventually arrived at Croyde Bay. We choose Croyde for several reasons. It is about the closest decent surfing beach to us, it has a National Trust car park and they serve a good cream tea for Brian.
The girls had a good swim and bodyboard.

Whilst we wandered round the beach.

And sat on the rocks.

We headed to the Walled Garden for refreshments where we sat by the allotment patches. All beautifully kept.

Brian had the obligatory cream tea.

Luckily it was up to standard and he found two sharers to help him!

A walk was then required so having driven to Morthoe we walked out to Bull Point.

And along the coast to Rockham Bay and back to Morthoe.
