After the lovely sunshine on Friday we were not so lucky today. The sun was shining beautifully while we were out for a birthday Sunday lunch. The heavens opened as we stepped outside for a walk' the walk down through the woods above Tyntesfield House was far too wet to get the camera out. Once we reached the gardens the weather improved enough to take a few dull pictures. The house was not looking it's best.
The gardens were at least quiet!
One thing we learned a few years ago when touring the gardens with the head gardener was that each of the holly bushes are a different species, small and large leafed, curled and straight.
We were a little early for a lot of the bulbs. There was a scattering of crocus and daffodils but the snowdrops were in full flower.
The pictures are good - and no people!
