Easter Monday

Today I made an impromptu visit to the University Botanic Gardens with my friend Sue where they were holding a Sculpture and Art Event.

We firstly visited the hothouses starting in the warm house.

Then we progressed to the Tropical.

In the gardens themselves there were a variety of sculptures by different artists

This one reminded us of the old TV characters The Clangers.

We found some stained glass work by an ex colleague of ours who now has her own stained glass restoration and production business. Her glassworks was particularly effective in the Chinese Medicinal Herb Garden.

This little chap was described as a bedroom cat

The flowers were also beautiful in the sunshine

The whole event was being enjoyed by a good crowd of people
