Black Swans

We saw several black swans on our visit to Dawlish last week. 

There have been Black Swans at Dawlish since 1900 although they died out between the world wars and were then reintroduced.

They make a fine sight on the river and gardens running through the centre of the town.

I can remember seeing these fine birds that originate from Australia at Slimbridge when I was a child.
