Lending a Hand

The really busy part of lambing is now over and there are only about a dozen ewes left to lamb. Younger daughter is back at school and both cousins are back at work which leaves older daughter to do the bulk of the work now.

There are still a few unwell lambs such as these two who spent 24 hours in our conservatory.

There are still quite a lot of sheep to feed, check and move around so the other evening I gave her a hand with the evening feeding. It seems that some of the ewes find waiting for their feed hard!

Meanwhile the lambs are having a play.

Then it was time to check those out in the fields.

They are fed some stock potatoes.

Which causes a bit of a rush.

I couldn't resist adding this one!

Then the sun goes down on another day.

  1. lovely to see all the lambs and ewes - I haven't been out of the city far enough to see any real ones around here this spring

  5. What a wonderful set of photos! I love the one of the sheep running toward you, and that last one of the sunset is stunning.
