Well I kind of did something new this weekend. I went for a bit of a Christmassy walk at Tyntesfield House. I have of course been there before as it is not far away but this was my first walk around the estate at Christmas. It would have been nice to have had a peep inside but it's entrance by booked ticket only at this time of year to see the house decked out for a Victorian Christmas and I had only really popped in to visit the shop.
The estate was decorated right from the entrance.
It all looked very festive around the shop and restaurant.
They have quite a lot of events at this time of year and the path was decorated all the way down.
There are also quite a lot around the house courtyard.
The door was firmly closed.
Some visitors were entering into the spirit.
It has certainly inspired me to try and return next year and to try and attend some of the events on offer.
Oh yes, great idea for return visit next Christmas. What a task to get the house and all the grounds jollified like that. Bet it's amazing inside! I once went round Windsor Castle during Avent - the tree had little crowns hanging on it in place of baubles!!
