Rhubarb

We normally have our first pull of rhubarb on Easter Sunday. This year the combination of an early Easter and a cold start to Spring meant that the rhubarb was not ready and we are still waiting! There are a variety of pots to force it on.


Hopefully it won't be long now!


And there are some new crowns coming on for next year.

  1. Mine's a little slow too. I've sometimes wondered about forcing but never tried. Are your new crowns new plants or an established plant that's been split up? I'm thinking mine could do with splitting but I don't want to kill it!

    1. They are apparently new crowns grown from seed by my brother in law.
