The Botanical Gardens

I took very few photos of the bigger picture in the gardens mainly because there were a lot of people wandering around but concentrated on individual items. One of the first plants to catch our eye were the lemon trees in the greenhouses. This lemon was the size of a large melon.

It was quite early for a lot of blooms in the main garden but there were some beautiful magnolias.

I remember from last year the overall and individual effect of the anemones amongst the daffodils.

Some trees were still wrapped up for the winter rather like unusual parcels or injured limbs.

Whilst others were showing sure indications that winter was no more.

  1. Lovely photos. How does a lemon get that big?? Not a pomelo by any chance?
