A Quick Garden Trip

We had a trip to Birmingham this week as younger daughter had an interview at the University. We went for a wander while she was having it and we visited the University Botanical Gardens. We only had an hour before closing time and the light was getting low. A little bit of late sun gave me the opportunity to take some pictures. I am saving some for Snap but here is a little taster.
An arch of three types of nut tree.

I had a wander on my own while husband headed for the Tearooms.

When he emerged he confessed that he had a piece of sponge cake. He had seen me coming along the terrace and sneaked his empty plate onto another table so I wouldn't know. Only I didn't come in!
Ew There was one shrub that particularly caught my eye.

Then the same shrub in yellow.

Any suggestions as to what it is will be gratefully received.
