We headed into Washington on the Metro where we did a couple of tours on the Open Top bus. This gave us a great over view of this interesting city.
One of the first buildings we saw was the Ministry of Agriculture!
During the bus journey we saw quite a few notable buildings.
Some buildings we selected for a wander round and closer inspection including the Washington Monument.
The White House, note the guards on the roof.
Then the Lincoln Memorial.
Lovely photos. Looks like you're going to have an amazing time.
ReplyDeleteI have thoroughly enjoyed your visit to Washington, DC, Virginia and NYC!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are really wonderful and so interesting to see it through your eyes.
We Love Skyline Drive and the fresh mtn air and you even saw a bear!
You make me want to visit Monticello again as it has been too long since we've been.
We live not far from Reston and enjoy the Saturday Farmer's Market at Lake Anne.
We always look for Potomac Vegetable Farms where they do organic gardening and sell "real" eggs for about $6 a dozen but it is worth it to us.
Your farm life looks extra special!
So nice to meet you in Rinda's Scavenger hunt.
We had to laugh last year as we were so excited to visit the UK and check off lots of things on our scavenger list only to discover that many of the scavenger hunt participants are from the UK (which we enjoyed extra much!) ;-).
Thank you for sharing and all good wishes to you and yours!
