Summer sports

It was a scorching day for the school's sports day. The school has recently purchased some new gazebos in each of the house colours. These not only cheered up the field but were a valuable sun shade.

The sports day runs from 11am to 4.30 so  arriving after lunch I did not see all of Emma's races.

I did see the 1500 metres and also the relay races. A lot of pupils were lined up ready for the relays. I managed to catch Emma on the far side of the track.

 After a staff tug of war with a few pupils to boost the numbers  a cream tea was laid on for the parents (always a popular part of the day) and then the trophies were presented. Emma's house were the winners.

On the way home we popped in to see the workers.

Only two fields left to bale now.
