Today I am joining in the Wednesday ZIZO which is Helena's meme. The fungus around at the moment are quite magnificent I guess as a result of the weather. This fungus is not easily missed!
I understand it is known as bracket fungus. A nice comfortable bed for a pixie perhaps?
Or even a bath?

ReplyDeleteThis looks very much like a fungus called 'chicken of the woods' which is, as the name suggests, edible. Saw some at a wild mushroom workshop once at Abergavenny Food Festival - but don't try it without checking!! X

ReplyDeleteThose are amazing, and so are your photographs. We see those here as well when we're hiking in the woods, but I've not seen them in the neighborhood.
