Another Attic Find

Something else which we found in Granny Florence Patch's old suitcase in Joy's attic is this box of cards.

Always a great family game which I remember playing as a child. The inside of the box lid gave us a clue to who played with this set. These are the older brothers and one of the sisters of Farmer Husband's dad.

The pictures and characters are typically Victorian in style and very stereotyped.

There is a certain gruesomeness to the both the drawings and the subject matter.

Some of the people such as the beadle have also disappeared from our lives thankfully.

Student Daughter has chosen to keep the cards. It would certainly be sad to see them go.
