A Scented Suprise.

Tucked in the corner of my mum's garden is an old half barrel tub that has been left unplanted. It seems that nature has sorted things out for itself. This year the tub is brimming with self sown violets.

They make a lovely colourful sight with a little wild garlic growing with them.

Nature always has a few surprises.

  1. Well spotted! Fantastic carpet of violets. Hope the little bit of what looks like wild garlic at the back of the barrel isn't providing scent too!

  2. What a lovely unexpected find. I have a tiny vase that I put violets in, for my desk at work, the scent is divine.
