Checking Out the Potatoes

I have followed the progression of the potatoes since the preparing of the ground for planting and planting the potato seed. I have also shown the potatoes plants beginning to emerge. Yesterday evening we walked down to see how the crop was progressing.

You can see that the plants have grown. The crop in the forefront is barley incidentally.

Brian had a little dig around to see what the potatoes were like.

Still rather small for now! We shan't be pulling any yet. He just had enough for his mum to cook for lunch today.

We have had quite a lot of rain overnight and during today so that should help increase their size.
