A Comfort Stop

When traveling south from Pahia we stopped for a quick break in an ordinary little town called Kawakawa. Their claim to fame is their toilets designed by Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser that are most certainly unusual.

They claim to be the most photographed toilets and are certainly unusual.

It is made of mainly recycled materials.

Obviously I only had access to the Ladies!

There was however a facility for waiting for fellow travellers if you were quicker than them.

  1. I love that a public toilet is a big tourist draw - and that seat for those waiting for their photographing friend
