What is this lurking in the garden? I popped out for some frosty pictures and spotted this. I love the way the frost glimmers on it but do you know what it is?
Could it be something strayed off the compost heap? A fruit stone whose outer layer has decomposed perhaps? I do sometimes get some interesting funghi near my rhubarb. If not, most likely a baby alien.

ReplyDeleteFirst glance made me think of a cantaloupe - that is all I can guess. It is fun to find a surprise now and then.
