What is it?

What is this lurking in the garden? I popped out for some frosty pictures and spotted this. I love the way the frost glimmers on it but do you know what it is?

  1. Could it be something strayed off the compost heap? A fruit stone whose outer layer has decomposed perhaps? I do sometimes get some interesting funghi near my rhubarb. If not, most likely a baby alien.

  3. First glance made me think of a cantaloupe - that is all I can guess. It is fun to find a surprise now and then.

  4. I may have misled you. I do know what it is. I will give you a bit longer before I tell you. I do like the idea of a baby alien though!
