Well here we are at Monday again waving at
Sian and the other Monday bloggers as we think about new things we have learnt and done. Yesterday was Mothering Sunday here in the UK. A day steeped in tradition when the maids from big houses went home to see their mothers bearing small gifts. Today it may have become wrapped in Commercialism but the basic elements are the same.
This year I had my parents coming for lunch and I did of course have something new to give mum and mum in law. Some pots that I had planted up.
I was also delighted with the gifts from my girls including something I have been wanting for some time.
Just right to diminish those lingering cooking smells after lunch.
I hope you had a lovely day, I am sure Mum loved the planted pots. Glad to see you have a wax tart burner - now I can bring you all kinds of fragrant tarts from the US!
ReplyDeletebeautiful planted pots, have a great week
ReplyDeleteThoughtful daughters - lovely flower pots you have made for gifting.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely day. Plants in planters are a favourite gift here too. My Mum can't get out and about, so she loves a collection of fresh planters to look at through the window.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week Maggie
Lovely gifts, both given and received. I was away on a retreat and we hadn't realised it would be Mothering Sunday when we book last year. It's very early this March. Have a great week Maggie.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely to spoil and be spoilt, have a good week.
