The helm has died off and the harvester digs the potatoes out of the ground.
The potatoes are then sorted mechanically and manually so that the soil as stones are dropped back into the field.
As you can see they have a supervisor!
The potatoes are tipped into a trailer to be transported back to the shed.

ReplyDeleteWonderful photos - they are harvesting potatoes here in the Pacific Northwest too - and they'd better hurry because 10 or more days of rain is coming, starting in the middle of the week. Great supervisor!
