On our walk at Tarr Steps last Friday I spotted these trees for
Helena's pairs. Firstly
down in the valley by the river this tree just turning colour for Autumn but very much
alive.
Then up on the open moor and very much exposed was this virtually dead tree.

both beautiful in their distinct way
ReplyDeleteBoth great photos - I wonder why the tree on the open moor is not thriving. Do sheep on the moor nibble on tree bark?
ReplyDeleteI agree with Helena, both are beautiful. The composition of both shots is wonderful. I love the sheep in the background of the second one.
ReplyDeleteThey are indeed both lovely
ReplyDeletelove the shape of the dead tree...and also the bicolour of the live trees!
ReplyDeleteI love the dead tree against that beautiful sky.
ReplyDeleteThat second tree is so dramatic against the sky. Love the colour of the first too.
